Born and raised in the quiet, close-knit town of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, Tammy grew up in a world where the warmth of community often masked the cold realities behind closed doors. In her own home, her mother suffered in silence, and Tammy learned early that survival meant hiding in the shadows.
